DIY Project (one)

I am a theoretical crafter. I'm totally transfixed by those that make cool things and often have an "I could do that" moment; but rarely do I execute.
The past 4 or 5 years I've treated myself to a beautiful (almost handmade) calendar by one of my favorite paper makers -- Nikki McClure (http://www.nikkimcclure.com/portfolio/) or Ebony Snow of Snow & Graham (www.snowandgraham.com). My only regret being that once the month is over they are gone forever. Alas, no more! A simple 20 minute project turned beautiful calendar art into just plain beautiful art!
With a daughter named "June" I have extra motive and cut and filled three frames (assorted, silver, pulled from the garage) featuring "June" and beautiful cheery (or did I mean cherry?) blossoms from Snow & Graham's 2008 edition.
I've done entire walls with random frames all unified by the common artist. It's a very satisfying effect and leaves you with no guilt when you want to change them out next year!
Happy cutting!
